Hair Biz first opened its doors on December 1st 2005 and currently employees 5 full time stylist, houses 2 tanning beds and a full nail room. Hair Biz provides an upscale yet relaxed atmosphere with family affordable pricing. We want to set ourselves apart from other day-to-day beauty salons that may offer only one or two types of services. As consumers ourselves, we know that to get your hair, nails and tanning done in one location in one day and have those services in an affordable package is much more convenient than visiting several different locations. There are a number of salons in the Cedar Valley, but they may not offer as many services, have the convinces of a call ahead program, or have as many professional products available to them. We also wish to offer an environment where a customer can visit to feel pampered and relaxed without having to spend a lot of money. Our biggest feature we believe will set us ahead of our competitor, is our exceptional customer service, we want to practice the old saying that “The Customer Is Always Right” and do whatever it takes to make and keep them happy. Lisa has been in the Beauty Industry for twenty years. In those twenty years
she has worked in the Waterloo area as a Stylist for one year, a Salon Manager
managing a single location for eleven years. In 1999 Lisa relocated to the
Twin Cities were she was a District Manager, Operations Manager and Recruiter
of 19 Salons before returning back to her home town of Waterloo in April 2005.
She has experienced every aspect of her career from being a stylist to learning
and teaching Managers how to run a profitable business. Both Lisa's co-workers
and cliental would describe her as high energy, reliable and determined to
achieve bottom line results. In her experience with recruiting employees,
Lisa will be dedicated to only hiring those that share in her vision to go
above and beyond what is needed to run a successful business and ensure a
great reputation in the community.
has been in the Advertising field for the last 5 years and has a bachelor’s degree in Computer Graphics, Web design and Multimedia Production. He also has a great deal of experience in marketing other businesses and seeing that they succeed in their business adventures through proper advertising practices. Also during his past years he has been in the construction/maintenance business doing everything from full janitorial • Siding • Framing • Drywall • Windows & Doors • Painting • Decks and many others. While living in the Twin City area, Lisa and Rick were very close with Owner Operators of a franchise salon, and during the 7 years by there side Rick was schooled in many areas of the salon industry, from helping with advertising, attending hair show conventions, helping out with company events and just listening to Lisa handle her various situations that would arise.
